Our dear friends,
We had an incredible time of rest
during June and July. Then in August we hit the ground running
again. Stephanie is back and building up the worship team. The
music school is still going strong. We received the Saxophone
we needed for one little girl and she will be starting classes
shortly. In October and November we will begin Marriage classes
to equip couples to have long lasting and fulfilling and joyous
marriages.
I began teaching Bible and English at
the Christian school where our children attend. The pay I
receive there covers the children’s tuition and a couple of
other bills we have here. I enjoy teaching, especially the
Bible class. I have to do that in Spanish so it is sometimes
challenging but always fun. The third graders always laugh at
my Spanish.
When we both arrived back in Mexico we
discovered that Stephanie had a cyst in her uterus. The doctor
gave her some medication and we all said many prayers and the
cyst dissolved (praise God) but that wasn’t the end of the
problems. Now her doctor says she needs to have a
hysterectomy. We consulted with her doctor from Fort Worth, TX
and he agrees. So now we are preparing for a surgery. We don’t
have insurance so we will have to pay cash for everything. Our
church here will cover half the cost and we are praying and
believing God will provide the rest. Please be in prayer for
this issue. The surgery will cost around $3000 US dollars but
there will also be pre surgery lab work and other expenses.
Also pray that Stephanie will be at peace through all this. She
will have to spend three days in a old, ugly Mexican hospital
and she is very nervous about that. We do have peace about the
need for surgery itself. Because of all the problems Stephanie
has had in the past and looking at her family history we believe
this will be a great help to her.
We are still praying for the finances
to buy land and build a new home. Our current house belongs to
the church and the church building project is advancing very
rapidly which is right in our back yard so we can’t live there
once the church is completed. We will need $10,000 to $20,000
for just the land and then we can start building. We already
have people who would like to donate building supplies and help
with the construction. Please pray with us for these needs.
